Comparing flow experiences between online and offline games
Abstract
This research compared flow experiences between online games and offline games. The reason for this research is to find out how difference flow state if Independent variable difference. The Flow State Scale (FSS) is a measure of flow in sport and physical activity settings. The nine Flow State Scales of the 36 item instrument represent the dimensions of flow discussed. The participants chosen from 101 people, male and female, DV is the flow scale, IV are games, gender, and ages. Using two between ANOVA tests. The results show that there is a significant relationship between flow experiences in gender and games. There is a significant relationship between flow experiences in ages and games. There is a significant relationship between flow experiences in games and favourite genre of games. Many studies have looked at flow experiences in online game players and offline game players, but there is still a gap in the literature and there is limited research. The research has some advantages also has some limitations.
