dc.description.abstractThe waterborne parasite Cryptosporidium represents a significant threat to public health due to its resistance to conventional chlorination. This novel multidisciplinary study investigated the development of pulsed ultraviolet light (PUV) and pulsed-plasma gas-discharge (PPGD) for the novel inactivation of Cryptosporidium oocysts and other problematical microorganisms in water.
